G-271: Hazardous Weather and Flooding Preparedness

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency is hosting a G271, Hazardous Weather and Flooding Preparedness course instructed by our own State Meteorologist Jeff Jumper on October 18 & 19, 2022.  This course is only offered two more times before the end of the year, and this is an opportunity to get some great information about potentially hazardous weather and flooding that may impact your communities.

This course is open to local emergency management coordinators and their staff, County EMA, VOAD’s, Private Sector EM’s (hospitals, schools, etc.).  There are no prerequisites for this course, although IS-271 might be beneficial.

The class will take place at PEMA Headquarters, again on October 18 & 19.

Course materials will be provided in digital form, so a laptop or tablet capable of opening Adobe PDF files will be required. Sign up on the Train PA website.

*Lodging and meals will not be provided by PEMA, and will remain the responsibility of the individual or agency.
